The next-generation Reach Digital Diver Camera System

Engineered for Depth. Designed for Clarity.

Professional-grade, diver-operated video, powered by Reach engineering. Now with all-new control software.

Dive cams built with Reach’s engineering DNA.

Commercial diving has long relied on improvised or diver-built camera systems. Practical, but rarely engineered with the discipline applied to solving complex, real-world technical problems.

The Reach Digital Diver Camera System brings that discipline to commercial diving: dependable HD imaging and lighting in the harshest conditions, so divers see what they need to see and operators hand clients records that hold up.

Engineered durability

Sapphire window, 6061-T6 aluminium housing, 300 m depth rating and impact-tolerant construction.

Field-ready simplicity

One connector for camera and light, intuitive controls and a setup measured in minutes, not dives.

Reliable documentation

Clear, stable video on a 17″ daylight-viewable display, with audio input for tender and supervisor narration.

All-new software, built for the dive station.

Every feed, light and recording on one touchscreen, each control a single tap away. Pick a feature to see it running.

Overview

A tour of the control software on the portable console.

Up to four divers. One screen.

Name each feed for the diver wearing it, then lay the dive out the way the supervisor needs to see it.

Glare or turbidity? One button each.

Wide Dynamic Range balances bright and dark areas of the image, cutting glare on reflective targets. Defog lifts contrast in dirty or turbid water. Use whichever the water calls for; the two run one at a time.

Detail you can put in a report.

“The difference in image quality between the Reach System and competitor units is immediately noticeable. The enhanced detail allows our dive supervisors to interpret conditions more accurately and communicate underwater findings with divers in real time.”

Better clarity. Better decisions. Better outcomes.

Dive operators depend on clear documentation to justify decisions, validate work and avoid re-dives. Their clients depend on accurate visual records for risk management and asset integrity.

The whole system, in one case.

Camera, light, tether, control module and touchscreen, packed to travel and ready to dive in about five minutes.

The portable DDCS: Nanuk case with 17-inch touchscreen, control module, keyboard, camera and light on a pistol grip

A 17-inch screen you can read on deck.

Daylight-viewable touchscreen, sized for a supervisor and a tender to watch together.

Up to four cameras at once.

The control module runs four concurrent camera feeds, each with its own light.

500 Gb on board.

Record straight to the console as .mkv video and .png stills, then move files off to a USB drive.

Narration built in.

An audio input takes comms or a headset, so commentary lands on the recording.

Packed to travel.

Everything rides in a Nanuk 940 case, 557 × 429 × 216 mm.

Camera

Full HD, behind sapphire.

A 1920 × 1080p camera in a 6061-T6 aluminium housing with a sapphire window, rated to 300 m. Sensitive down to 0.1 lux, with a 74° horizontal field of view underwater.

Light

Up to 1,500 lumens, on your terms.

Variable LED output, set from the console. Camera and light share the same MCBH6M wet-mate connector, and either tether goes into either port on the controller. Fewer parts to match on deck, less to get wrong with cold hands.

Sensors

Depth, temperature and heading, in line.

The optional sensor module adds depth, temperature and compass heading in line with any camera. Pair it with on-screen overlays so the context is right there in the frame.

Control Unit

Portable, or in your rack.

Self-contained in a rugged case: the 17″ daylight-viewable touchscreen, the control module for up to four concurrent cameras, 500 Gb of on-board storage and a keyboard for overlay text.

Helmet and mask mounts

Mounts for Kirby Morgan and other industry-standard helmets, plus a mask rail mount for hands-free work.

Pistol grip

A 1/4-20 UNC clasp for hand-held inspection work.

150 m tether

Camera and light tethers run to 150 m as standard.

Third-party tether adapter

Runs the DDCS on tether you already own from other manufacturers, and takes the standard run further.

Sacrificial Y-termination

An optional sacrificial termination takes the tether wear, so the expensive end doesn’t.

Five-minute setup

Connect, configure, record, hand off. The Quick Start Guide covers the whole spread.

“The entire system is quick to set up, extremely user friendly, and the controller with the touch screen monitor makes it incredibly easy to use. The absolute best thing for us though is having a local company on Vancouver Island that is so responsive to any issues we have.”
James “Reggie” Latham · Director of Operations, DiveSafe International
